What up party people? I hope you've been enjoying all that Chicago has to offer this wonderful Winter season: snow, ice, sleet, rain, and potholes. Come warm up with the Chicago Cocktail Club posse to celebrate the dawn of Spring, by concoting and imbibing tasty and/or strange libations.
The point of the Chicago Cocktail Club is to share an evening with friends new and old, while sampling tasty cocktails. The reason it's fun is because each person attending is responsible for bringing the ingredients to make one (1) type of drink to share with everbody, on a small scale, in a very small (think shot glass size) cup. Everybody can sample everybody else's drinks this way (on a small scale, to make sure you're still standing that night).
So what does this mean to you, the epic partygoer? It means that if Captain Musharraf of the Mushatones decides he is going to share a real Daiquiri with everybody, he'd bring the ingredients to make it (Rum, limes, sugar) with him to the party. If his co-partyer, Dr. Dirty Bananers decides she is going to share a Singapore Sling, she'd bring the ingredients to make it (gin, lemons, cherry brandy, Cointreau, soda water) with her to the party. We'll have the ice, and the cocktail shakers, and cups.
So rather than spend $50 at a bar in this economy, you can spend $15 for some ingredients to bring and enjoy a whole night sampling infinite alcoholic concoctions! Get your cocktail on.
