Raise your left hand if you enjoy paying $30 for an all you can drink special for crappy American beer and poorly made mixed 'drinks.' Raise your right hand if you enjoy being unable to move in a shoulder to shoulder sea of asshats spilling the aforementioned terrible drinks on your fresh gear. If you raised both hands please grab some rope to hang yourself for your next costume, but if you didn't then there's a chance you might be cool, so please view our invitation below to the latest iteration of the Chicago Cocktail Club.
The point of the Chicago Cocktail Club is to share an evening with friends new and old, while sampling tasty libations. The reason it's entertaining is because each person attending is responsible for bringing the ingredients to make one (1) type of drink to share with everybody, on a small scale, in a very small (think shot glass size) cup. Everybody can sample everybody else's drinks this way (on a small scale, to make sure you're still standing that night). If you like what you're sipping, have the person make you a full size cocktail.
So aside from your awesome Halloween costume, what does being involved in the Chicago Cocktail Club mean? It means that if the Dubtron wants to share an 'Americano' with everybody, he would bring the ingredients to make an 'Americano' (Campari, sweet vermouth, soda water) with him to the party. If Wonderman Wu wants to share an 'Aloe Cocktail' with everbody, he would bring the secret ingredients to make an 'Aloe Cocktail' with him to the party. Simple, right? We'll provide the ice, the cocktail shakers, and the cups/glasses.
